Is ACP still available?
No. ACP ended June 1, 2024, following a lack of additional funding from Congress. There is currently no federal program that has replaced it — the Lifeline program remains the primary federal resource for phone and internet discounts.
I saw a website advertising ACP free laptops — is that real?
Treat it as outdated or potentially unsafe. Because ACP shut down in mid-2024, any site currently promising an ACP laptop application is working from stale information at best. Stick to Lifeline and the nonprofit programs listed on this site instead.
